Sue Town Obituary

Sue C Town, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. She was under the care of Brio Hospice.

Sue was born September 28, 1935, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, to Hugh and Mary Calvert. She was the youngest of four children. Sue took dance lessons in her younger years and loved to dance. She even did a little dancing at Lincoln Court with the help of the wonderful staff.

She met Lewis Town in 1949. Sue waited for Lewis to return from the Korean War and on February 27, 1954, they were married. Sue and Lewis moved to Idaho in the 70s where they raised their daughters, Cheri and Lisa.

Sue was a member of the Presbyterian Church as well as 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She loved to help organize fundraiser dinners, always donating her time. Lewis also helped cook and clean up at all these fundraisers as Sue also donated his time, but he loved and enjoyed it. Sue loved when her grandchildren came over. She always enjoyed their visits. She was even lucky enough to enjoy her great grandchildren, whom loved her very much!

Sue is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Dave) Lamont of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, April (Wes) Elder of Lebanon, OR, Jeffrey R (Masha) Schow of Idaho Falls, ID, Jeremy L. Schow of Idaho Falls, ID, Brandi (Brandon) Hobbs of Idaho Falls, ID, Brook (Chet) Kasper of Idaho Falls, ID, and Scott (Barbara) Kiggins of NY; great grandchildren, Megan, Jaxon, Jordan, Zeke, Journie, Ledger, Lillie, Isabella, and Wilbur; plus three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lewis Earl Town; daughter, Cheri Lynn Kiggins; and grandsons, Shane A Kiggins and Brett Lamont.

A special thanks to Lincoln Court for all the wonderful things they did for our mother. Also, to Brio Hospice who helped with mom. She made some great friendships while she was there.

At Sue’s request, no services will be held.
